A better day on the water.

Practical checks, saltwater care and useful trailering resources.

Trailer construction

What are our trailers made of?

Saltwater environments dish out some of the harshest conditions for any equipment, so we build only aluminum-frame trailers with high-quality stainless and galvanized components to provide many years of trouble-free service.

Want to go the extra mile? We offer a full host of available options to safeguard your investment even further, such as aluminum wheels (versus galvanized) and full stainless steel brake kits.

Start with the essentials

Look it over
before you tow.

A trailer works hard at the ramp and on the road. Regular inspections help you spot wear, corrosion and loose or damaged components before a trip.

Use the specifications and service instructions for the equipment installed on your trailer. Our shop can help you identify components and arrange service.

Trailer service

Before each trip

Check the hitch latch, safety chains, lights, tires and boat tie-downs. Inspect the winch strap and bow attachment before towing.

After saltwater use

Rinse the trailer thoroughly with fresh water, including the frame, brakes and running gear. Follow the component manufacturer’s cleaning instructions.

Tires & wheels

Inspect tires for damage and uneven wear. Set cold pressure and wheel-nut torque to the specifications for your installed tires and wheels.

Bearings & hubs

Check seals, lubrication and any signs of leakage or unusual noise. Follow the hub manufacturer’s procedure and service interval for your installed system.

Brakes & suspension

Inspect lines, hoses, wiring and suspension components. Have braking problems, damaged parts or leaks checked before the next trip.

Bunks & hardware

Check the supports, carpet or bunk surfaces, fasteners, winch stand and guide equipment for wear or movement. Contact the shop if the fit has changed.
